THE PEACE PIE STORY
Peace Pie began Thanksgiving night 2010, over a delicious batch of pie filling and a forgotten pie crust. Jerry Klause, founder and creator, baked the pie filling and two giant shortbread cookies, then combined it all in layers with vanilla ice cream. He served a Pecan Pie Lasagna for dessert and it was a hit with the whole crowd. The following summer, The Klause family started Peace Pie, The Ice Cream Sandwich with a Layer of Pie Filling!

Humble Beginnings
Peace Pie started off by selling at farmers markets and local events throughout southern New Jersey.
Its grassroots lead them to their first brick and mortar storefront in Cape May, NJ. The Flagship store opened Memorial Day weekend of 2015. Within hours of opening night, Jerry knew the Pies were just too good to not share them with the whole east coast.
Peace Pie Expands
In January of 2016, Joe Klause, Jerry's son, brought Peace Pies to Meeting Street in Charleston, SC.
In January of 2017, Maryrose LaCavera, Jerry's daughter, opened the third shop in Saint Augustine, Florida.
That same summer, Joan Klause, Joe and Maryrose's mom, and Jerry's dearest friend, opened the fourth store in Ventnor City, NJ.
